Showreel is a multi screen video installation in which I live out (and say farewell to) my childhood dream of becoming a famous actress. In each video I embody a different cliché female film character that I dreamt of being/acting as a child. As I grew up I started to see the issues with these characters that were like a template for my younger self. In the audio accompanying the videos, I describe my expectations of what being a famous actress would be like and how they failed to be fulfilled.
